September 19, 2009 ~ Super Super Saturday Conference

The rain did not dampen our spirits especially with the network of people here. We had a great turnout and Mrs. Althea Penn was very engaging, interactive and informative. All in attendance received a lot of information on the various aspects of early childhood development and introduction of reading principles. ~Southern Crescent Association for Professional Child Care

ASCI February 2010 Early Educator Conference Orlando, Fl Evaluations

Very informative. Althea does an excellent job presenting, very professional and knowledgeable. I really like her!

I was "blown away" by A. Penn. I am excited to teach literacy & phonics to my baby room and my own children

This made me realize how I need to teach letters and phonics even though they are so young. I need to start now!

Mrs. Penn was phenomenal. Her key points and lessons were spot on and I learned a lot. I hope to be able to learn more from her in the future.

Wow, great information, it was almost too much to take in.

I really loved the excellent activities you can do with the kids.

Very lofty concepts to begin with but became more understandable as session progressed.

Lots of information and fun singing songs so we didn't fall asleep.

Learned new ways to teach my two year old letters.

I liked how she taught reading through songs.

Very affirming for our staff.

Mrs. Penn opened my mind to the many ways there are to introduce literacy.

Reminds me of "Step up to Quality" in Ohio.

Great info, glad to hear she thinks phonics is important - instead of whole language approach.

Like I said, she is wonderful and I just want to sit and have tea with her. This was wonderful and very educational.

Didn't know phonics could be so easy and fun.

Learned that no one is too young to learn to read. Learned fun ways to incorporate letters into play.

Enjoyed getting involved.

Mrs. Penn talked about infants and they aren't usually talked about that much.

The presentation of actual tools that can be used was very helpful in how I can improve to integrate more literacy in everyday play.

Agree whole heartedly with this fact! Hope to incorporate some of the ideas learned here today at our program.

Georgia Preschool Association Early Educator Conference Feedback

Thank you for making our event so positive.

We have reviewed the evaluations and found that almost everyone was happy with the presentations they attended.  My staff had only great things to say about their experiences and picked up lots of good ideas for teaching.  We've heard from several directors whose staff attended who had very positive things to say.  It is always great when we get positive feedback!

Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
